Professional Support Services
Tukiluotsi’s professional support services are intended for young people in the open care or aftercare of child welfare who need adult support and guidance. We provide a young person with a safe and reliable adult outside the family, who helps them identify their own strengths and strengthen their ability to manage everyday life.
At the heart of our work is a confidential relationship between the support person and the young person. We also cooperate with the family and the young person’s broader network. The content of the service is planned together with the social worker and the young person. Planning always takes into account the young person’s individual needs and life situation – the young person is always at the center.
Professional support work is versatile, activity-based, and aimed at supporting the young person’s functional capacity. The work may include encouraging support discussions, support for independence, help with school attendance, strengthening self-esteem and social skills, and supporting family relationships and communication. Support is provided both in the young person's immediate environment and in activities outside the home.
At Tukiluotsi, we want to walk alongside the young person and support their positive growth and development.
